While the Thanksgiving holiday provides a much-needed break from normal routine, parents are faced with the challenge of keeping their children entertained when school's out. Resorting to the TV can put a smile on any child's face, limited technology is recommended by childcare professionals. This list of camps and activities for kids during Thanksgiving break in St Pete gets children off the couch and up learning and having fun!
The Science Center is holding a Thanksgiving Break Camp where children will improve their tinkering skills through building things with common and not so common materials from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Children in grades K-6th are welcome for $125 per student.
The Morean Arts Center will have two camps, one for the younger kids and one for the older kids. Over the course of 3 days, children ages 5-10 will turn into multi-media artists through the Thanksgiving Break Art Camp for Kidsfor an all-inclusive price of $95 per member and $115 per non-members. Children ages 11-16 will learn video editing skills with the Thanksgiving Video Camp for $180 for members and $200 for non-members. Both camps run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Extended care is available.
