The ocean itself is enough of a reason to visit the beach, but sometimes you need to add a little creativity to your plans. Head on over to Clearwater Beach for the 6th Annual Clearwater Beach Chalk Art Festival for a weekend filled with fun for the entire family. On October 20-22nd from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, the sidewalks of South Clearwater Beach will be transformed into amazing works of arts by over 40 talented chalk artists. The larger-than-life-canvases will allow the public to view the way art is made from start to finish. Come witness the process of how the canvasses are made and partake in choosing the favorite piece of artwork by voting for the “People’s Choice Award.”
The Clearwater Beach Chalk Art Festival continues to expand by giving top local and regional artists, student artists and artists groups the opportunity to grab the public’s attention by using chalk to create dazzling sidewalk art. This event is free and made possible by the Clearwater Beach Chamber of Commerce collaborating with several local businesses as event sponsors, including the City of Clearwater who support, honor and immerse the community in this event of art. Event Sponsors also make it doable to house artists from other areas and to raise the prize money for the winner of the “People’s Choice Award", which will be announced by noon on Sunday.
This family-friendly festival will feature arts and crafts vendors and a kid’s area with games, prizes, and live music. There will also be a unique open-air gallery on one of America’s Best Beaches! Grab the sunscreen and prepare yourself to be immersed in a world of art at the 6th Annual Clearwater Beach Chalk Art Festival.
