Do you want to hear what your Pinellas County legislators are thinking heading into the start of the 2018 legislative session in January? Several members of the Pinellas legislative delegation will be featured at the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce's Commerce's Legislative Forecast event on Friday, December 15, 2017 at the Hilton St.Petersburg Carillon Park. The event begins at 11:30 a.m. and goes until 1 p.m.

The event will feature six legislators who represent different areas of Pinellas and a mix of both political parties. Legislators scheduled to appear include Senator Darryl Rouson and Representatives Larry Ahern, Ben Diamond, Chris Latvala, Wengay Newton, and Kathleen Peters. The Florida Legislature is in session for 60 days, normally each spring in Tallahassee. In 2018, the Florida legislative session will begin on January 9th and is scheduled to end on March 9th.

"We are honored to be presenting sponsors alongside our client Tampa Bay Water for the St. Petersburg Chamber's inaugural Legislative Forecast luncheon.  We are excited to hear from our legislators their perspective on the issues and policies being considered this session.  We are proud to be members of the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and look forward to a great event on Friday," said Michael Corcoran of Corcoran & Johnston Government Relations, a presenting sponsor of the event and one of the top government relations firms in Florida.

Individual tickets for the St. Petersburg's Legislative Forecast are $50. The Pinellas legislators will discuss their top priorities, give a behind the scenes look at what to expect and answer audience questions.

The legislature is made up of the Florida House of Representatives and the Florida Senate. The Florida House is comprised of 120 members and the Florida Senate 40 members from districts around Florida.
