Heads up, 727 area movie buffs. The 2013 Sunscreen Film Festival will take over the Muvico Baywalk 20 in Downtown St Petersburg from Thursday, April 18 through Sunday, April 21 for four days of independent films, movie workshops, and more.
Yesterday, Sunscreen Film Festival officials announced the films accepted into the 2013 run of this longstanding movie event. Accepted films include a huge assortment of local and national level works in categories like short films, documentaries, features, mixed media/experimental pieces, animated films, and more.
From artists trying to break into the scene and make a name for themselves to seasoned film veterans, the assortment of figures and films at the Sunscreen Film Festival is one not to miss if you're serious about filmmaking.
Attendees at the festival will get the opportunity to meet and learn from learn from the best actors, directors, producers, writers, designers and all many other career path professionals in the film industry.
The 2013 Sunscreen Film Festival will kick off with the Sunscreen Opening Night Party at NOVA 535 in Downtown St. Pete on Thursday, April 18. Kicking off at 9 p.m., the party will feature music from DJ Sugar Bear, a complimentary photo booth, food, drinks, VIP, celebrity guests, and more. Tickets to the opening night party are $25 and include everything listed above.
Day passes to the 2013 Sunscreen Film Festival are $50 and include unlimited access to selected films being shown at Muvico Theater on the selected day.
