The Sea Captain Resort on the Bay was the first motel built to the south of the Clearwater Marina. Built in 1952-1953 by Ernie Barger, a local well-known fisherman. We are uniquely located on one acre, with 340 feet of private sea wall, 10 boat slips, and a small fishing dock. The Sea Captain Resort faces the Clearwater Marina, the Intracoastal seaway, and is about 100 yards from the white sugar sands of Clearwater Beach and the famous Pier 60.
