Larger-than-life geckos get center stage at a live auction during this year's GeckoBall (August 14, 2019).
Event Details
Each gecko gets created according to each artist’s individual concept, but you don't need to wait until GeckoBall to see the geckos — see them during the unveiling at the annual ArtGecko opening reception.
The exhibition also features selections from each artist's regular body of work in a variety of media. Artists this year include Brenda Mcmahon, Eric Folsom, Diane Bragg, Monika Watson, Tom Pitzen and Crea Egan Romanelli (in collaboration), Joan Allen and Tim Seller. After the exhibit, the geckos get moved to their preview locations throughout Gulfport, then go up for auction at the GeckoBall.
Each gecko joins Gulfport's Gecko Legacy — more than 80 other geckos created since the first GeckoBall.
