Mall food can be quite the drag sometimes. Between the soggy chicken sandwiches, left-out-too-long pizza, and cloyingly sweet pretzels, the dining selections at your typical mall often leave something to be desired if you're seeking a quality meal.
Luckily, Clearwater's Westfield Countryside Mall is not one of these places. Sure, they've got all the stuff mentioned above, but Westfield Countryside aims a step ahead with top-of-the-line dining choices including Red Robin, BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse, and now, Bar Louie expected to open later this month.
Bar Louie is a self-described "eclectic urban bar with warm surroundings, filled with nightlife photography, hand-laid tile artwork and other local architectural touches." With one successful location across the bay at the International Plaza, it's easy to see how Louie could be an immediate hit in the Clearwater area.
When it comes to what's inside, Bar Louie boasts a casual, laid-back atmosphere made complete by a huge assortment of craft beers and drinks from the bar, plasma screens playing the biggest and best sports games throughout the restaurant, and a menu filled with small plates, salads, burgers, large entrees, and flatbreads.
Bar Louie's signature drinks are also worth a mention. These flavorful, inventive drinks come in the form of martinis and other cocktails. Highlights include Louie's Cosmo with Absolut Citron, O2, fresh lime juice, white cranberry juice, pure cane syrup, and lemon twist as well as Louie's Sangria which comes packed with Cruzan Black Cherry, DeKuyper Amaretto, Canyon Road Merlot, fresh lemon/lime/orange juice, and Sprite.
Bar Louie at the Westfield Countryside Mall is set to open sometime in late August. We'll keep you posted as more news arises.
