Looking for a special place to spend Thanksgiving with friends and family while in St. Pete? Marchand’s Grill at the Vinoy Hotel in Downtown St. Petersburg is offering a special for Turkey Day this holiday season. The grand dining room, with its centerpiece bar, wrought-iron work and fresco ceilings makes everyone feel special, while warm and attentive service from the staff will make everyone feel at home.
Starting with a classic cocktail or sparkling wine at the bar will make you feel like you just stepped into the set of the Great Gatsby. If you’d prefer a holiday-inspired cocktail or a craft beer, the drink list is deep and varied. The choices are all first-rate, and this refined and elegant bar sets the mood for an experience to remember.
This year Marchand’s is offering a four-course prix fixe menu for $62 for adults and $22 for children. On offer is a complete traditional Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings. Favorites like roasted turkey with Yukon Gold potato puree and a sourdough and water chestnut stuffing. Aromatic vegetables, cranberry sauce and a wild mushroom and haricot vert casserole complete the plate. If turkey is not your thing, try the Prime Rib Roulade. It’s roasted to perfection and served with crispy Brussels sprouts and black garlic butter. The pork tenderloin comes with curry and acorn squash while the seafood selection is a Gulf grouper with a seasonal succotash, roasted shallot puree and root chips. It’s a menu curated to satisfy everyone using only the finest ingredients, many locally sourced and expertly prepared by award-winning chefs.
For some Thanksgiving is all about dessert, and Marchand's offers a coffee hazelnut pie as a perfect ending with a merengue and Nutella ganache. A nod to the tropics comes from their white chocolate bread pudding with caramelized bananas and rum caramel sauce. The nutmeg custard brulee has a hard sugar crust, so you can listen for that festive crack as your spoon sinks into the smooth sweetness.
Between the opulent setting, the wonderful food and gracious service, Marchand’s is serving what will be an unforgettable Thanksgiving. And speaking of dreaming, if you are too full and too tired to drive home, attached to the restaurant is one of the most beautiful and luxurious resorts in the Southeast.
Marchand's Thanksgiving dinner will be served from 12:30 to 8:00 p.m., and reservations are expected to fill up quickly. Call 727-824-8072 to hold your space ASAP for a holiday experience for which you’ll truly be thankful.
