Downtown Dunedin gets all the buzz as being a hot, up-and-coming locale with bars and excellent restaurants all along Main Street. But if you're looking for somewhere to relax, eat great food and watch sports, the only place to go is Eddie's Bar & Grill.

Located at 1283 Bayshore Blvd, it's under a mile from downtown, yet you feel transported to a secret location known only to you!

Eddie's has TWO (2) bars with nearly 50 kinds of beer on tap, including local brews and more conventional beers that pair well with the wings you chow down watching football. You can move seamlessly from the bar in the main room to the game room without ever missing a down, shot or hit as they have over 50 TV's covering the walls.

Once in the game room, you are greeted by arcade games such as Pop-A-Shot and Skee-Ball. But if you're looking for more bar games they also have two pool tables, two dart boards, and even air hockey tables to impress your date or humiliate your friends.

Food

In between sinking the 8-ball and hitting a few triple 20's to win at darts, you need to try the food.

To start, get the potato skins, fried mushrooms with horseradish sauce and the fried pickles. The fried mushrooms (my personal favorite) burst with flavor with each bite. There are tons of other great appetizers to choose from, including salads for the health conscious, onion rings, BBQ nachos, chicken tenders and buffalo chicken dip.

But don't go too crazy with the apps because their entrees are even better. They have every type of burger you could want like the classic Eddie's Burger, made with 100% certified Angus Beef. They also offer their Ridiculous Burger, which has the beef patty topped with ham, two eggs, Swiss cheese, bacon and bleu cheese. ALL BETWEEN TWO GRILLED CHEESE SANDWICHES. The name doesn't do it justice.

Eddie's also offers a hot, pressed Cuban, a Rueben or the Prime Rib Dip with a side of Au Jus to dunk it in.

Specials

Happy Hour lasts all day on Mondays, and Tuesday-Sunday it's from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.

If singing in the showers just isn't enough for you, come on Monday's for Open Mic Night at the Tiki Bar outside. On Thursday's, it's Trivia Nation where you can show up everyone at the bar with your encyclopedic knowledge of 90s boy bands, potent potables, and state capitals. Plus, it's BOGO burger night.

It's a fantastic place with a great atmosphere and very kid friendly for those parents who want to go to dinner but not at your typical chain restaurant. And it comes highly, personally recommended.
