Here in the 727 we're no strangers to the beach lifestyle.  Up and down the Pinellas peninsula miles of shoreline encase this place we call home and provide us with a lifestyle many in land-locked area won't get to experience, at least as conveniently as we do.  With this comes a ton of Caribbean-inspired, beach themed restaurants, some good, some not so much.  The Thirsty Marlin, with two locations (Palm Harbor and Largo) is defnitely one of the good guys.

Look over the menu and you'll find an overwhelming assortment of an impressively wide variety of cuisine.  Appetizers include oysters on the half shell, "The Scorned Woman" - buffalo-style shrimp from the Gulf of Mexico, chicken quesadillas with grilled chicken breast in a flour tortilla with a cheese blend, salsa, sour cream, jalapeños, lettuce and tomatoes, and much more.

Their sandwich selection is also second to none with a variety of seafood and other classically themed sandwiches.  These include their Megan's Bay Soft Shell Sandwich with soft shell crab fried in Japanese bread crumbs, served on an onion roll with bohemian sauce on the side; a pressed Cuban sandwich with fresh roasted pork and ham served in Cuban bread with pickles, mustard, mayo and Swiss cheese; and a grouper sandwich with fresh grouper served blackened, broiled, chargrilled or deep fried, on a toasted onion roll with fries.

Did we mention they also have a full sushi menu?  From sashimi to negri and makimoto, they've got all the types.  Highlights include a California roll with crab, cucumber, and avocado, and a dynamite roll with tuna, salmon, crab, cream cheese, cucumber,avocado and smelt roe.
