Event Details
Local philanthropic club, ‘The St. Pete Fools,’ is hosting their annual toy drive this holiday season to bring joy to those who need it most. The group, consisting of businessmen and entrepreneurs, is holding the drive to collect toys and bicycles. The event is set to take place on Saturday, December 4th from 12:00pm to 5:00pm at their Grand Central District clubhouse. The event will include a cookout, toy collection, a chance to meet the Fools and more. The public can donate new, unused toys, bicycles, locks, and helmets in-person at the event, or donate towards a toy or bike.
The toys will be donated to The Kind Mouse, a local Pinellas County organization that assists families in transition and their chronically hungry children. Last year the group was able to collect over two thousand toys in just a few days for their charity partners. The St. Petersburg Police Department will receive the bicycles, helmets, and locks, and donate them to local children as part of their community outreach in the Pinellas County area. St. Pete Fools member, Alex de Jesus, is the original founder of the bike donation drive with the St. Petersburg Police Department.
For those who are unable to join but would like to donate, donations are accepted via Venmo, @anthony-mangiafico-1, or can be coordinated via email to tonymangiafico@yahoo.com.
